"Juno Midori is a Half-demon Shaman/True Martial Artist at Demongate High. A first year, she enjoys gymnastics and martial arts, and combines them into a unique and graceful fighting style. Her spirit projection (the green cat thing, still unnamed) has great speed and can fight on her behalf.
Oh yeah, and she's a nympho."
I learned a lot from this picture. I tried out some coloring techniques from a tutorial that made about gray shading and putting flats over it while adjusting the gray scales hue/saturation level (all on the cat girl) and used what I know on Juno to see if there was a big difference in my style and the one in the tutorial. Pencil, ink, and Photoshop CS2.
god forbid if she has an itchy nose, she'd slice her gface off

the cat thing's a nympho or her. Because if you've ever heard cat's going at it it'll make your head explode. Uhh glad I don't have that ole' down on the farm life any more.
Your coloring looks much better on this piece. Depth and light seem to melt into each other. I think some heavier shadows would benefit, and perhaps a bit thinner lines. The tail as well, I can see the depth near the bend, but then it seems to flatten out a bit towards the end. I think a cool effect you could try would be to use your smudge tool, set it to pen pressure and use a small medium hardness brush to create the illusion of fur, and it'll a a bit more detail to the shadows. Otherwise the light values look good.
On a lighter note....I've been trying to draw lately. Nothing to really talk about though. It'll come out some day.
